Prescription4Warmth provides warm winter clothing to frostbite victims, homeless individuals, hospitals, and people in need in Western, NY!
This organization is a non-profit founded by medical students at the Jacobs School of Medicine at the University of Buffalo. The idea came after a pair of young doctors-to-be was working in the operating rooms during the coldest winter months in Buffalo, NY. They were shocked by the number of people needing amputations for frostbite and disheartened to hear that many of these victims did not have clean and dry winter clothing of their own.
P4W collects new winter items and monetary donations to supply shelters, hospitals, and individuals in the region with packages containing gloves, hats, socks, and more.
P4W has donated thousands of these warm items, and we want to continue to make a difference, with your help!
Please donate to help this great cause. Any amount is appreciated, and 100% of donations go directly back to the community.
