Donations
100% of monetary donations given to Prescription4Warmth (P4W) will go toward the purchase of warm weather-proof gloves, hats, and socks for frostbite victims, patients, hospitals, clinics, shelters, free clinics, and others in need in Western, NY.
Donations of any amount are accepted and are not subject to tax. Donations can be made by either credit card (processed through PayPal), or by a PayPal account. You do not need a PayPal account to donate.
Security
All transactions, including credit card purchases without a PayPal account, are processed through PayPal. PayPal is one of the world’s most secure online payment tools. At no point will any person(s) with P4W be able to view your entire credit card or account information. Donating money is similar in terms of security and handling as purchasing a song on iTunes.
P4W is operated under the Gold Humanism Honor Society at the Jacobs School of Medicine at the University at Buffalo. The PayPal account is therefore handled under the name “Gold Humanism Honor Society”.
PayPal uses encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect your credit card information. Upon entering the checkout page your computer will begin communicating with the PayPal server in a secure mode. You will be able to tell that you are in a secure mode because the URL prefix in the web address in your browser will say “https” instead of “http”.
P4W owns and operates the following URL domains:

- prescriptionforwarmth.org
The ONLY email addresses acknowledged, operated, and owned by P4W are those ending in the following:
- @prescription4warmth.com
- @prescriptionforwarmth.org
All other users of the “Prescription4Warmth” name are in violation of copyright, and should not be trusted. Under NO circumstance should you ever give any personal information intended for P4W to an entity using a domain name or email address that is not mentioned herein.
Terms and Conditions Modifications
This document is effective as published on Prescriptionforwarmth.com at any given time. P4W reserves the right to modify this document, or any aspect of this site, at our discretion. If we decide to change our Terms and Conditions, we will post those changes here. We encourage you to visit this section of our site regularly in order to remain informed of any changes. Changes to this document become effective the date they are posted to this site. Changes to this document made after your donation do not affect said donation.
Refunds
Refunds can be requested within 48 hours of the donation. To request a refund simply contact donate@prescription4warmth.com within this period. The entirety of your donation amount will be refunded to your account or credit card within 2-7 business days, depending on your carrier.
